Town Board will have a work session on October 10 at 7663D P.M. and a wor
session on October 17 at 7:30 P,m. with Torn Payne of the Assessment Division,
Mr. Walpole and committee intend to update telephone st okers, check fire
extinguishers, chimneys and update mown Directory in ene operation as soon as
they get a good weekend.
Mr. Hold-eri reported briefly on Fall. Creek Project. The consensus was that it is
creating another agency to control land and take it array from local. residents.
Ben Bueko will look into and report at next meeting.

Also present sere: Mary Evelyn Dempsey, Sallee MO.Donald, Claude Holden, Teresa
Robinson, Gordon Hoy, Robert Brown, Gordan VanBenschoten,
Fred Fedder, Brian Lucey and about 20 other residents for the
Preliminary Budget Heaxing at 8:15 F &M4
The meeting started 10 minutes late due to sack of a quorum, Mr. Sovocool and
Mr. Heffron arrived and meeting started.
Mr. Walpole moved to accept minutes of previous meeting as mailed, Seconded by
Mr. Heffron. Ayes - Walpole, Sovocool, Heffron, Rankin
Claims #268 to 306 of the Highway ]department and #247 to 303 of the General Fund
were presented for audit.' Mr. Walpole moved that the bills be paid-and the Clerk
instructed to drax the wa=ant for them. Seconded by Mr. Heffron. Ayes - Walpole,

Appointing a constable was tabled until next month for further investigation,
Mr. Gordvm Hoy, Chaizman of Appeals Hoard, reported no activity for the previous

Mr. Hobert Brown, Zoning Officer, submitted a letter of activities for the
previous month with a Natal of 34 permits issued. Accepted by the Board.

The Town Board reviewed Preliminary Budget to see if there was any wavy to lacer
tax rate. Since we were notified yesterday at 5:00 P.M* that the Railroad property
in the 'Sown and Village was tax exempt, thus loitering our assessment valuation -�
which tax rate was originally based on for the Preliminary Budget -- the Board
felt we would have to absorb loss and could not lo�ier budget or tax rate.
Consequently, the following resolution was made
