This complaint ( letter attached ) was made by a landowner
resident in the Town of Groton about the fifth wheeler ( camper )
that the Wilburs are using for their residence .
The section of the Groton Land Use Regulations violated is %
Section 352 . 1 . c . - Minimum size dwelling required 840 sq .
ft . for envelope of structure .
Section 352 . 1 . a - Dimension regulations - Frontage or
principal frontage 200 contiguous feet minimum ( per
dwelling unit ) .
The Wilburs have beer. living i --) this camper at least since
May 1987 as previous documentation ( attached ) will attest .
The preliminary procedures already accomplished or performed
by the Town Board of the Town of Groton is attached for your
information . In short , the Wilburs asked for a variance and the
variance was denied on May 12 , 1987 . In defiance of this denial
they have continued to live in the camper since that time .
Unfortunately no one pursued the matter and now it falls in our
laps .
The relief requested is , the Wilburs be advised they are in
violation of the Town Land Use Regulations aforementioned and
that they must abide by these regulations and the variance denial
previously adjudged .
