Are you facing problems of population explosion , traffic conges -
tion , air and water pollution , junk cars and mobile homes ? Then you
are like most municipal officials in New York State today . The New
York Planning Federation is dedicated to keeping you informed on these
and other vital subjects through the New York State Planning News and
its Annual Planning Institute .
Enclosed is a complimentary copy of an issue of Planning News
featuring the problems and progress on sign control . At the 1969 In-
stitute in October there was a lively discussion of the proposed re -
vised New York State Planning Laws . If passed , these laws could have
a great effect on your community .
With a turnover every year , and new planning and zoning people
attending the Institute , we have decided to run a program geared espec -
ially to new planning and zoning board members , covering such things as
" How To Run a Board Meeting " , Finances , Laws and Enforcement , Public
Relations , and Sign Control - -an actual course in " How To Do It " .
We would like to count you as a member of the Federation . If
you join now , you will receive the 1969 - 70 binder ( usually $ 2 . 50 ) , a
copy of the 1969 Institute Proceedings and all the details for the
1970 meeting , in addition to all the other benefits of membership .
