Dear Fellow Board Member :
The interest in the Groton Town Planning Board seems to have
diminished to the extent that our last meeting , January 15 , 1969 ,
was attended by a grand total of one . As I have other things to do ,
as I am sure you do , too , other than waiting for other people to
arrive for a regularly scheduled meeting , I propose that we take
definite steps to get the concept of town planning for Groton off
the ground . Obviously there is much to be done , and I would like
to propose the following for your consideration :
1 . Extend an apology to Mr . Roger Snyder for interrupting his
planned presentation with a discussion that could have , and
should have , taken place either before or after our meeting
with him .
2 . Organize our meetings on a formal basis and limit dis -
cussion during the meeting to strictly planning business .
3 . Submit a written request to the Groton Town Board for
them to grant to the Town Planning Board the authority to
approve subdivision plats .
4 . Submit to the Town Board a request to be empowered to hire
a planning consultant to prepare for us a set of mobile home
regulations for the Town of Groton at a cost not to exceed
$ 1 , 0000
5 . Request a joint meeting with the Village Planning Board
for the purpose of entering into a joint 701 study plan and
hiring a planning consultant to prepare the application for
us immediately .
Any comments ?
Sincerely ,
