Ayyroval of Minutes - 19 April 2001 Regular Meeting
M. Carey: Well, I think we've got a quorum; everybody's here, so would anybody like to approve
the Minutes for the April meeting?
T. Guihan: I move we approve the Minutes as submitted.
B. Albro: Second.
M. Carey: All in favor? (All those present indicated they were in favor. ) Passed.

Donald Palmer, ARRlicant / Donald & Margaret Palmer, ROs, - Pleasant Valley Road - TM # 32 -
1 -25 . 1 - Request for Boundary Change
M. Carey: Okay, I guess next on the Agenda is Palmers. Explain a little bit for everybody what
you plan on doing.
D. Palmer: I guess you members have the papers.
M. Carey: Yes.
D. Palmer: Basically what we are doing is submitting again a request for a boundary change.
The request was approved back in 1996 and we had plans to sell a short parcel to a neighbor at that
point. Their plans changed and they moved away from the area and the sale was never completed.
The property has since been sold, and the party that owns it now is interested in buying the same
small parcel. It's about three-tenths of an acre just to be added onto their existing lot. The property
has been surveyed back in 1996 and there hasn't been any change to that, so we're just asking at this
point that the Board again approve this request for a boundary change.
M. Carey: Now where on the map is it that you're adding on? Is it up here?
D. Palmer: Yes.

M. Carey: Oh, this whole lot down here?
D. Palmer: The section at the very top of the map is indicated by plus or minus . 356 acres is the
section we're talking about.
G. Van Slyke: Yes, we have it.
M. Palmer: It's folded over.
M. Carey: Anyone have any questions? George? As long as you don't have any questions, you
get stuck with this.
G. Van Slyke: I did it the last time. Okay, I guess I can handle this, I don't know.
Board Member George Van Slyke then read aloud Part II of the Short
Environmental Assessment Form. Negative responses were obtained to all
questions in Part II. Therefore, it was determined by the Planning Board, upon
the motion made by Member Barbara Clark, seconded by Member Brad Albro ,
with all members present voting in favor, that the action, based on the
information submitted, will not cause any significant adverse environmental
impact , resulting in a negative declaration.
This becomes Action # 12 of 2001
M . Palmer: Do we need to get another Mylar of the survey?
M. Carey: I don't believe so. I mean you've already filed it once, right? You're just going back
through the motions again because the time frame ran out. Do we have a motion for the boundary
change?
G. Van Slyke: I move that we approved the boundary change as requested.
B. Albro: Second.
M. Carey: All in favor? (All members present indicated they were in favor. ) Approved.
This becomes Action # 13 of 2001
M. Carey: Okay, you're all set.
M. Palmer: We'll hang around.
M. Carey: Well, we're supposed to have somebody else come in. The person's not here. Glenn' s
not here. He's coming right? He emailed me and told me he would. I asked him to come to the
meeting.
Discussion re Mobile Homes
M. Carey: Well, another thing we can discuss is what we were kind of getting into discussing
last month was the mobile home stuff. If people are going to kind of come up with some ideas and
changing the Mobile Home Ordinance.
M. Baxendell: I've got some stuff I'm still working on, preliminary stuff.
G. Van Slyke: I've got a question. How did that one get up on Lick Street up there? Where did that
come from. Did they drag it in out of the woods?
M. Carey: If you looked at your Minutes, it was approved.

G. Van Slyke : When was it approved? Must be I missed the meeting.
M. Carey: It has to be at least a '77 and it got in under the State law.
G. Van Slyke: What Minutes are you looking at? Last month's?
M. Carey: Last month. Obviously, somebody didn't read them.
G. Van Slyke : Well, the thing is, I wasn't here last month so -
M. Carey: Well, you should have read the Minutes so you would have known what we
discussed.
M. Baxendell: We had a long discussion about single-wides coming into the Town because of that
issue up on -
M. Carey: I told Mark to go up and offer his services and paint the place; a good coat of paint on
it would do wonders for it.
G. Van Slyke : I suggest we go get the guy in the Penguin Trailer Park to go do his decorations there.
Whatever he does, I don't know. He puts all those ornaments and all that there.
J. Fitch: It's all white plastic.
G. Van Slyke: Well he could probably do a terrific job for them.
Be Clark: Joan, do you have a copy of the Cortlandville regulations for Mobile Homes? Could
we get a copy?
J. Fitch: I can probably get you a copy.
Be Clark: That might help to give us some guidelines. I think Mark was going to check with
Lansing, too .
M. Carey: Well, we can either cut the meeting real short, but we probably better wait.
G. Van Slyke: They only give a professor twenty minutes and then he leaves.
M. Carey: Did everybody get this? It would be a good training session.
M. Palmer: Have you had any teleconferences regarding planning? They're very interesting.
M. Carey: We've never been invited. Well, I'll have to send Glenn an email tomorrow.
Adjournment
Be Clark: I make a motion we adjourn the meeting.
Be Albro: I 'll second it.
M. Carey: All in favor? (All members present indicated in the affirmative. ) Meeting adjourned.
The meeting was adjourned at 7: 54 p.m.
