Describe violation: Lack of a barrier around pool, even a temporary barrier is required during
construction.
Remedy: Comply with order and place a barrier or fence around in-ground pool.
The above is a violation of:

According to records of the Tompkins County Assessment Office, you are the owner of the above referenced property.
I hereby request that you eliminate the violation by May 9, 2014
If you believe that you are not in violation of the Zoning Law, please contact this office to review the situation. If you in tend to
bring your property into compliance with the law, but you cannot meet the stated deadline, please contact this office and we
will attempt to work with you on a short extension.
If you do not take the requested action or make other arrangements with this office by (5/9/2014), we will begin formal
enforcement action against you. You will NOT receive an additional warning before we begin formal enforcement action.
Failure to remedy the conditions aforesaid and to comply with the applicable provisions of law may constitute an offense
punishable by fine or imprisonment or both.
THIS IS THE ONLY NOTICE YOU WILL RECEIVE. Your next communication from us will involve formal enforcement
action.

TOWN OF GROTON ENFORCEMENT INSPECTION REPORT
Section 104. Conformance with New York State Law
In addition to the provisions in this Code, applicants must adhere to all pertinent New York
State Laws. If any New York State Law referenced in this Code is amended, the
amended Law shall replace the section or sections of this Code where the Law is
referenced
Section 402. Violations and Penalties
a. Any person, firm, corporation, or other entity who disobeys, neglects or refuses to
comply with any provision of this Code, shall be guilty of an offense punishable
by a fine not exceeding $350.00 or imprisonment for a period not to exceed six
months, or both for conviction of a first offense; for conviction of a second offense
both of which were committed within a period of five years, punishable by a fine
not less than $350.00 nor more than $700.00 or imprisonment for a period not to
exceed six months, or both; and, upon conviction for a third or subsequent
offense all of which were committed within a period of five years, punishable by a
fine not less than $700.00 or more than $1000.00 or imprisonment for a period
not to exceed six months, or both. For the purpose of conferring jurisdiction upon
courts and judicial officers generally, violations of this Code shall be deemed
misdemeanors and for such purposes only all provisions of law relating to
misdemeanors shall apply. Each week's continued violation shall constitute a
separate additional violation.
