That report contains maps of public service boundaries, roads, utilities, natural features, and general land use features for the County as a whole. In order to make these maps more easily usable by local communities, we have run a series of maps of each Town. These are at a larger scale than found in the Mapping Report, and include the entirety of your Town as well as portions of surrounding communities in Tompkins County. In the case of Villages, the maps for the surrounding Town were prepared. A set of these maps is enclosed for your use, and copies of these maps have been sent to the chair of your Planning Board. If you have questions about these maps, about the original Mappina Report, or about other mapping needs, please contact the Planning Department at 274-5560. cc: Municipal Planning Board Chairs City of Ithaca Planning and Economic Development Department Town of Ithaca Planning Department Recycled paper a— 0 f 1J D 1, 1° r-I 71 r-- I Groton ti Groton Central , ; _ School District 1 '- rC N.r— ' i, Homer entral ' I School istrict rrr M ° - Urgl6entral ti r — shcrol_pistrict r --"x — ., _ _,` —_ o Dr den Central -° ,,— -- L ti Pool District 1 Lansingg Central School -District TOWN OF GROTON MUNICIPAL AND SCHOOL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES SOURCES: TIGER/Line Census Files, 1990 Tompkins County Planning Department —o—Q- County Boundary Town or City Boundary Village Boundary School District Boundary o 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared December, 1993 i N TOWN OF GROTON ELECTION DISTRICTS SOURCE: Tompkins County Planning Department County Representative Districts 1 County Representative District No. - 0 - 0 - Voting District Boundary Voting District Number 0 1 2 4 miles N Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared December, 1993 yl f f f 1 "1 TOWN OF GROTON OTHER SERVICE AREAS SOURCES; TIGER/Line Census Files, 1990 Tompkins County Planning Department, Ithaca -Tompkins County Transportation Council Fire District Boundaries Lighting Districts I Metropolitan Area Boundary 0 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County outlook Prepared December, 1993 roton Village rater District 1 1 4 TOWN OF GROTON WATER SYSTEMS SOURCE: Tompkins County Planning Department, Sept 1 993 Nw, Water Service Area IPrivate Water Service Water District - No Service 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared November, 1993 :01 Groton Vill Sewer Dist TOWN OF GROTON SEWER SYSTEMS SOURCE: Tompkins County Planning Department, Aug 1993 MESewer Service Area Sewer District - No Service 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared November, 1993 ,RO `,% jkl19 N tJF ES t,,7 TO)NG, v 1 Flanriin9 4ePa'tm i Countynmages ZamPkins SpuFtCE. watershed Boundary Mayor J` Watershed Boundary Minor Major Stream Other Stream 4 miles 0 Wing Department k1n County Plan put\O* the T amp ins County prepare A part oofed -nbe , 993 Of G RO p,S T ural S oft unl. jN, atArea E°m`tal Ma nnages n►que Nature Brea U Streams 4 V, 11es 1 2 0 rim9 Departmar't kins Gount' Plan rgutlodt Prred by trt oEohe'' om 'ns 1 gg count), G AS p Prepared tAay' 1 50 5 43 54 6 6 i A 43 a n 54 r,r 27 66 \J'6 5 6 §0 5z 54 54 TOWN OF GROTON SOIL ASSOCIATIONS SOURCE: Tompkins County Soil Interpretation Report 10 Howard-Arkport 16 Howard 17 Howard-Chenango 19 Palmyra 24 Howard -Palmyra 26 Hamlin, fan -Palmyra 27 Hamlin -Teel 29 Middlebury-Tioga-Papakating 37 Papakating, alluvial land 39 Ovid -Ilion 40 Cazenovia-Ovid 42 Honeoye-Lima 43 Lansing-Conesus 45 Ontario -Hilton 48 Kendaia-Lyons 50 Cazenovia-Aurora 52 Mardin-Volusia 54 Langford -Erie 55 Langford -Howard 61 Mardin-Langford 62 Mardi n-Langford-H oward 65 Ellery-Erie-Alden 66 Erie -Langford 68 Volusia-Mardn 70 Hudson -Dunkirk 87 Sloan -Teel, alluvial land 88 Sloan- M adal in -Fonda 91 Hudson -Rhinebeck 92 Benson-Wassaic 93 Lordstown-Langford 94 Lordstown-Mardin 97 Aurora -Farmington -Manlius 99 Lordstown-Arnot 100 Lordstown- March n-Langford 103 Aurora -Angola 105 Rhinebeck -Niagara 107 Muck -Peat 116 Howard -Phelps 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared December, 1993 TOWN OF GROTON GENERALIZED TOPOGRAPHY SOURCE: Tompkins County Soil Interpretation Report Level to Rolling M Gently Sloping to Sloping wHilly to Very Steep 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared January, 1994 TOWN OF GROTON DEPTH TO BEDROCK SOURCE: Tompkins County Soil Interpretation Report 0 - 4+ feet IM1.5 - 10+ feet 4 - 40+ feet Other 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared December, 1993 I 4 r "L - I 1 y 1 TOWN OF GROTON OTHER LAND USE INFORMATION SOURCE: Tompkins County Assessment Department Records, 1992 Commercial Land Uses goDowntown General Retail Office Park Rural Center Industrial Land Uses General Industrial Warehousing/Trucking Other Land Uses Recreation Forest Educational 4 Institutional 0 1 2 4 miles Prepared by the Tompkins County Planning Department As part of the Tompkins County Outlook Prepared January, 1994 pxx TOWN OF GROTON GENERALIZED LAND USE See accompanying text on sources of information.
