Deputy To%ti-ii Clerk 11 REGULAR MEETING The Regular Meeting of the Town of Groton Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Acting Chairman Ted Schiele. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - 20 NOVEMBER 2019 A motion was made by Member Dan Cerretani to approve the ZBA meeting Minutes of 20 November 2019, as submitted. The motion was seconded by Member Paul Fouts, with the vote recorded as follows: Motion carried. Ayes: Acting Chairman Schiele Nays: None Member Fouts Member Gaines Member Darling Member Cerretani This becomes Action # 1 of 2020. ORGANIZATIONAL MATTERS Selection of Chairman A motion was made by Member Paul Fouts to nominate Ted Schiele as Chairman of the Town of Groton Zoning Board of Appeals for 2020. The motion was seconded by Member Cerretani, with the vote recorded as follows: Ayes: Acting Chairman Schiele Nays: None Member Fouts Member Gaines Member Darling Member Cerretani Motion carried. This becomes Action #2 of 2020. 1'a' -'v I of :3 Town of Groton ZBA Regular/Organizational Meeting lllinutes la January 2020 Selection of Vice -Chairman A motion was made by Member Patricia Gaines to nominate Carolann Darling as Vice - Chairman of the Town of Groton Zoning Board of Appeals for 2020. The motion was seconded by Chairman Schiele, with the vote recorded as follows: Ayes: Chairman Schiele Nays: None Member Fouts Member Gaines Member Darling Member Cerretani Motion carried. This becomes Action #3 of 2020. Selection of Meeting Day/ Tim Following a brief discussion. a motion was made by Mmember Darling to select the third Wednesday of the month for the 2020 Town of Groton Zoning Board of Appeals meetings at 7 p.m., as needed. The motion was seconded by Member Fouts, with the vote recorded as follows: Ayes: Chairman Schiele Nays: None Member Fouts Member Gaines Member Darling Member Cerretani Motion carried. This becomes Action #4 of 2020. PROPOSED PLANNING BOARD POLICY FOR APPLICATION REVIEW Board members were provided %,.itlh a cape of a proposed I)olicN- for the Town's ZBA mid Plmining Boards suggesting that each Board select a designated member at their Orgmzizational Nleeting who «rill be available to check applications that are received bN^ the To« -ii Clerk. A discussion ensued. At the close of their discussion. a motion was made by Member Gaines that the Town of Groton ZBA agrees to provide a liaison to the Clerk's office for Application Work Flow on a quarterly basis, alphabetically by last name, with Member Paul Fouts serving as alternate, if needed. The motion was seconded by Member Cerretani, with the vote recorded as follows: Motion carried.
