Discussion took place concerning the recommendation from, Rick Fritz, the Code Official to
increase the fee for people who build something without getting a building pennit. Currently it
is the regular fee plus 1:. Mr. Fritz explained that insurance companies and banks have begun
requiring copies of certificates of completion and/or certificates of occupancy for every building
project. In a case where something has been built without a pennit, it is very difficult to do the
needed inspections when something is already built and sometimes results in things being tone
apart. He recommending charging twice the regular fee when people have failed to get a
building pennit The Board agreed to this.
