Teresa Robinson opened the Public Hearing at 8600 p . m4
with the reading of the • No• tice of Public Hearing on the Local
Law No . d1 , Town of Groton Land Use and Development ' Code .
ROBINSON . I have one question concerning No . . 401 ; it z a�,
states the fee be paid to the Zoning Officer . Is that fD r
everyone of these certificates or not ? I thought we had
decided that one person Would be collecting the fees .
F. ITZGERALD Is it , more customary to have ' the Town Clerk
collect the fee ?

EVANS * I think At " is more customary , for:` the Zoning Officer
to collect the fee . ,,
it ROBINSON , hoes he need a' special account ?
RANKIN , Would he have p to be bonded ?
EVANS : It might simplify matters to , have one ' • person
collect all fees .
TOTMAN : You could ' have it changed to the Town ; Clerk . ;
ROBINSON * The question came up and I thought it would
be easier to have one person collecting the fees , other -
wise you get into the bonding issue and .confusion .
Anybody else have wny questions ? I think one of the
things . brought up in this new Zoning was that the area
of Rt 222 shall be put back into Agripultural Zoning
from Lick St . to Salt Rd . From Salt on the North ;
on South side from Salt to the Village -Line . Because
of the way of the new - set up of Zoning , you would be
able to put. industrial projects , in different spots any
way .

RANKIN , ] Going to put /into Agriculatural Zone by Special
Permit ? k
ROBINSON : Yes . Anybody else have any questions or
comments or remarks ?
BROWN : Is that the only change from Medium Intensity ?
There is the area by Lewbro ' s -. Is - there any other areas
designated ?
ROBINSON , The Hanlet of, McLean is Medium - Intensity .

)4VANS : Nothing in these illustrations is different from
the , present subdivision regulations .
FITZGERALD , Have we substantially changed from what is
sitting on Pthe _ desk?
ROBINSON : Just the change of the Town Clerk collecting
the fees .
FITZGERALD : . That doesn ' t bother me . Was the change in
the area ( Rt 222 ) part of the original proposal presented
o
last month ?
TOTMAN : Yes ,
ROBINSON . That goes along with the new zoning .
FITZGERALD : What about the one change Gary and I discussed?
Section 201 -2 mIx, delete paragraph ( Board Member ' s
copies duly changed ) . That snot a substantial change .
ROBINSON , Any other changes or corrections or questions ?
Once this, is passed it takes f ive ' days : So I suggest
we make , the changes and , have in five days . We ' ll make
the corrections , pass it , then send it . We ' ll have a
Special Meeting when the corrections are made :
