PROPOSED USE HEARING OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING MIMS
MCBER 23 , 1978 AT 8 :00 P . M .

Robert F . Walpole , Town Justice
Verl Rankin , Jr . , Councilman
Ellard L . Sovocool , Councilman
Gordon C . VanBenschoten , Councilman
ALSO PRESENT : Leland Cornelius , Highway Superintendent
Clerk read notice of public hearing which was published in the Groton Journal
and Courier on October 11 , 1978 .
Robinson : Since no one is here , I ' ll read what the Totem ' s proposed uses
are :
1 ) $ 15 , 000 - Cat Wheel LoM.er
2 ) $ 19000 - Signs
3 $ 12 , 000 - Road Oil
$ 1 , 500 - Day Care Center
This is a total of $ 29 , 500 with an unexpended balance of$404 . 00 .
Out of this amount $ 2 , 500 will be going back into General Fund .
The rest is gravy money that we ' re using .
Walpole : It ' s not gravy money , it ' s capital outlay .
Robinson : This year we know we ' re going to get it so we ' re using it this
way .
Walpole : They can ' t cut small towns off completely . Something different
will be corning next year .
Sovocool : What did Day Care get last year?
Robinson : Day Care got $ 1250 last year and asked for $ 1500 this year .
If all agree , we ' ll have this as our budget . Hearing is closed .
