Tax Collector’s report for the Board’s review. She reported that her new Deputy Clerk, Kris
Strickland, was doing a good job in the office.
Clerk Scheffler had previously provided the Board with information about marriage officers and
copies of the Public Relations Law. She asked the Board if they would make a resolution to
appoint her. Clerk Scheffler explained that she felt that it was a nice service to provide, that
there would be no cost to the Town and all that was needed was a resolution from them.
Councilman Scheffler thought it would be one-stop-shopping and was concerned that everybody
in Town would then want to do it. Councilman Clark felt that they had enough going on right
now with the upcoming election. Consensus of the Board was that it was not necessary.
Councilman Randall made a motion with no second. The Clerk was told that she could bring it
up again at a later date.
