MONDAY, AUGUST 8, 1994 AT 7:30 P.M.
Those present: Teresa M. Robinson, Supervisor
Gordon C. VanBenschoten, Councilman
Donald E. Cummings, Councilman
Carl E. Haynes, Councilman
Also present: Leland Cornelius, Liz Brennan, George Senter, Fran Casullo,
Robert Bernhardt
Claim Nos. 125 - 142 of the Highway Department in the amount of
$32,894.01 and Claim Nos. 173 - 195 of the General Fund in the amount of
$3,756.25 were presented for audit. Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by
Mr. Cummings, that the bills be approved for payment. Ayes - Cummings,
VanBenschoten, Haynes, Robinson.
LIZ BRENNAN - BOOKKEEPER - Handed out report and also a report of expenditures
and revenues to date to be passed around to Board Members. There are no
transfers.
GEORGE SENTER - CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - Building permits issued thru July
1993 (52)10 houses 9 Mobile Homes 33 miscellaneous
1994 (52) 5 houses 5 Mobile Homes 42 miscellaneous
(3) replacements
Visited John Anderson with Fran Casullo - status quo. John did mention that
he has given thought to possibly selling his property and moving to - maybe
Senior Citizens or moving in with his new girlfriend who lives in Etna. What
is the Town's position on ownership of the property? Handicap striping is
done in the Town's parking lot area. Also, Sherry O'Brien has been issued a
MVRS permit to December 31, 1994.
LELAND CORNELIUS - HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT - The town's pit on Spring Street
Extension has been seeded. The September 1st deadline has been met.
B.BERNHARDT - Asked Supervisor Robinson if Diversified has made payment .
Supervisor Robinson stated that she has not checked with the bank. Bernhardt
thinks they have moved from the building on the Cortland Road.
FRAN CASULLO - We need to check the bank for payment.

RESOLUTION NO. 46 - AUTHORIZE TOWN ATTORNEY TO SEND LETTER TO
DIVERSIFIED T.E.S.T.
Moved by Mr. Haynes, seconded by Mr. VanBenschoten
Ayes - Cummings, Haynes, VanBenschoten, Robinson
BE IT RESOLVED that the Groton Town Board hereby authorizes the Town
Attorneys to send a letter to Diversified Technologies indicating that
loan payments are not being made pursuant to the established payment
schedule and if the payment schedule is not adhered to, further legal
action against Diversified Technologies is contemplated.
Beckey Vallely has been promoting bus transportation to Cortland and Cayuga
County. A meeting is scheduled later in the month of August. Supervisor
Robinson asked anyone if they would be interested in attending. No response.
The Board hopes to have a decision on the bids for the Equipment Storage
Facility by September meeting. The Town will accept bid then apply for
insurance. Under the General Municipal Law, we can open bids in public then
the next Town Board meeting discuss each and every bid.
The Board voted to go into Executive Session to discuss a confidential legal
matter at 8:17 PM. Moved by Mr. Haynes, seconded by Mr. VanBenschoten. Ayes -
VanBenschoten, Haynes, Cummings and Robinson.
There being no further business, Mr Haynes moved to adjourn meeting, seconded
by Mr. Cummings at 8:46 PM. Unanimous.
