Upon returning, Town Clerk was informed she would get a five percent raise and Highway Superintendent was informed he would get a five percent raise plus a lump sum of $1000 as an incentive for having 20 years of service. Haynes, Councilman Jack Fitzgerald, Attorney Also present: Leland Cornelius, Arland Heffron, Mark Robinson, Robert Dempsey, Lee Shurtliff, Willis Sheldon, Charles Rankin Supervisor Robinson received a letter from Tompkins County regarding John Anderson property and a bid quote of $46,000 to clean up which County would like Town to pay one -half of $29,000. Will discuss later. Leland Cornelius would like to swap old garage doors for a wagon to go under cinder spreaders. Attorney Fitzgerald has no problem with it. Board approved of swap. Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by Mr. Sovocool, that the Highway Superintendent be authorized to swap old overhead doors from Highway Garage for a used wagon to go under cinder spreaders. What per cent of :increase k as opposed -to last year are we looking at'? J C. HAYNES: I figure it slightly under 5 per rent. I took the amount to be raised by taxes, $6969 `y32. 9 '. 4, .last year we raised $6679288"9 so that is about $299000 more to >:es. I don't know the exact, but it is less than 5 per cant.. DEMPSEY: I just have to tell you as long as I can remember the Town Board has done a good job and that meanCti the present Town Board has done a goad job, too. Some of this stuff going an lately around the 'T'own, you would have this room full. if people were not satisfied with their taxes. You may have 1 some problems but I think most people still think they are a nuisance and I wish you would straighten them all out. That's all I came down to say, good night. T. RESOLUTION N0. 157 . - AMEND 1990 BUDGET Moved by Mr. Cummings, seconded by Mr. VanBenschoten Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Cummings, Haynes, Robinson WHEREAS in the Highway Fund a carry over fund: balance is available; and WHEREAS on April 9, 1990, bids were accepted by the Town Board to purchase a 1991 10 -Wheel Dump Truck -Snow Plow Combination, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that $60,000 of these funds be appropriated to DA5130.2 Machinery; and FURTHER RESOLVED that the Supervisor be authorized to make the necessary entries to amend the 1990 Town Budget as noted above.
