Clain Nos. 1 to '17 of the Highway Fund in the amount of $15,66Z.66 and
Claim Nos. 1 to 39 of the General Fund in the amount of 107,841.19

Meeting night for the second Monday of each month at 7:30 P.M. to be held
at the Town Hall. Ayes - Sovocool, VanBenschoten, Haynes, Robinson.
Moved by Mr. VanBenschoten, seconded by Mr. Sovocool, to set hourly rate of
Custodian at $5.00 per hour and Deputy Town Clerk at $6.00 per hour.

Discussed Deputy Town Clerk receiving paid vacation and holidays since she
works in the dual position of Deputy Clerk and Zoning and Planning Secretary
which makes her position full time. Other hourly employees of the Town
receive these benefits.

Boarrd discussed two proposals. If uninsured is for property damage, it is
worth keeping. If it is for personal injury we should drop the additional
$361.00 from Dempsey's quote.

Discussed Gary Wood's proposal fox CleA o#' the Works on Town Hall Renovations
Addition. Board asked who Twould be doing the inspections. Gary stated George
Totman is not a technical person and he does not have qua.11f1cations for
inspections and therefore would not be doing them. Gary stated either himself
or Jack Fitch ox Burr Phelps would be doing inspecting approximately five hours
per week. Gary will be responsible for any decisions and will woxk with
Mc0larland ,7ohnsan on the project. Jack and Burr are both qualified to do
in4pections and could wozk in with zoning inspections for the town.
G�xy Wood, Zoning Officer, reported two building permits have 'been issued
in January. Sherry O'Brian has applied for a building pexrait and they are
also limiting him to 20 cars on his special permit.

Discussed recyclebles (Paper &.Bottles) being dropped off by Town residents
at one location. We can't have a receptacle at the Town since we're under
construction. Consensus was that any such drop vauZd have to 'be manned to
prevent garbage fron being deposited. Also discus ;ed metal garbage containers
being used instead of plastic bags for residents to put at curb side for
garbage pickup to prevent animals and-i,Tind from strewing it around the
neighborhood. Gary Wood will contact Ben Hill regarding receptacles.
Engineers and Contractors intend to meet at the Thwn Hall on Wednesday
morning to discuss starting. date. It has been proposed to park a tzlailer

n the Highway Shop Bay for office pe7nonnel to wog* from. Tarn Clerk
stated it was not feasible to run her office out of a trailer. It is
extremely busy now with taxes and it, would be very diffiouJ.t for the eldexly
to get in and out of a trailer. Also, a, trailer would not provide enough
room for all office personnel and equipment necessary to ca,r)�y on business.
Discussed partitioning off a section of shop foar tempo7rary offices.

Leland Cornelius, Highway Superintendent, would like to purchase a new
txactor. mower. Ford has the state bid, Kqr. Cornelius will have more

months to get machine,
Supex'visor Robinson would like to request by letter to our new Assemblyman,
Martin Cortex, that he look into getting a flashing stop and caution light
at the intersection. of Routes 38 & 34B. A copy of the Town Board's pxevious
resolution requesting this light will be included with corx'es:Pondence.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby retain the professional
services of Gary E, Wood, B.B. to act as Clark of the Works foz the
Town Hall Renovations /Addition .Project for a fee not to exceed
$3000.00.
Mr. Haynes requested the Supervisor to provide the Town Board with a. monthly
treasurers report beginning in 1989, It is understood that this report
will be one month behind.
