14other's Club met for their Christmas luncheon and meeting at
12:30 on Friday, December 15th, 1572 at Mrs. Alice Baker's, having,been
postponed from Tuesday, Dec. 12th because of snow and slippery roads.
The meeting was called to order by the vice-president, Mrs.
,:.lizabeth Rumsey, at 2 o'clock with 8 members answering roll call -
the iirs. Jessie Baker, Alice Baker, Lida Griffin, Lina Jones, Edna
Graham, Llizabeth Rumsey, Lama aillet and Marion Thornton. Mrs.
Rumsey read the treasurer's report - the amount on hand being 334.50.
Three members paid 1973 dues - Lrs. Emma Willet, Jennie Leonard and
iiarion TY.ornton.
A motion was made, seconded and carried that the Vice -President
appoint a telephone committee of two people, one person for Montour
Falls and vicinity, and one for the Ithaca, Trumansburg area. 11.rs.
iiartha Peterson and Elizabeth Rumsey were duly appointed.
There were no bills presented and no old business to be attended to.
Firs. Edna Graham's offer to host the February 13th.meeting was
accepted.
Mrs. Lina Jones passed 5 cards for the members to sign which will
be sent to Firs. Marie Wagemaker, Elmina Rumsey, Grace Hill, Irene
Brown and Irene Scott.
Alice Baker read the Christmas letter she received from Helen and
zd karshall who are now enjoying their life in Florida.
It was decided that rather than send a sunshine box to Llmina
humsey who is in the Odd Fellows Infirmery, the club would send her
an arrangement of artificial flowers. iiarion Thornton was arrointed
to select and arrange for its delivery.
pith many thanks of appreciation to our hostess, the meeting was
adjourned at 3 p.m. so the members could get an early start home. Snow
was accumulating and the roads apzeared quite slippery.

After a most sumptious lunch, -the meeting was called to order at 2:15 by the Vice-
president, Mrs. Elizabeth Rumsey. Nine members, the Mrs. Alice Baker, Edna Graham,
Lida Griffin, Lina Jones, Jennie Leonard, Elmira Rumsey, Elizabeth Rumsey, Marion
Thornton and oma Willet, and three guests, Mrs. Mabel Wjt_t, Wina Ramsey and Haze.

The minutes of the Feb. 12th meeting were read and approved and Mrs. Rumsey
reported a balance of ;37.65 in our treasury.
Mrs. Alice Baker and Lina Jones reported on the restaurants they had contacted
as possible places to hold our annual. Mother's Day Luncheon and it was voted by the

dinner a short business meeting was held with our president, Martha Peterson
presiding. Eleven members answered roll call, the Mrs. Alice Baker, Lida,
Griffin, Lina Jones, Jennie Leonard, friary Pelham, Martha Peterson, Amy Rice,
Elizabeth Rumsey, Marion Thornton, Elizabeth Van Derzee and Emma Willet. Two
guests were also present, Joyce Soule and Jean Van Derzee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected and approved.
The treasurer reported 849.30 on hand. No bills were presented.
Sunshine cards for Mrs. Marie Wagemaker, Irene Scott, Jessie Baker, Edna
Graham, Irene Brown and Amina Rumsey were signed by all present.
Our annual Christmas meeting -will be held at Lina Jones on Dec. 5th, but
if she is unable to have us - Elizabeth Van Derzee suggested we might meet at
the Friends Church in Perry City. There will be an exchange of gifts - a One
dollar limit. It was suggested roll call be answered with something pertainimg
to Christmas.
All spoke of their appreciation to our two young guests who served the
dinner and washed the dishes!'
Our president closed the meeting with a reading of the 19th and 23rd :salms
as written in the book "The 'Psalms for :..odern Dian".
