Motion passed unanimously. Dan Walker requested that all Planning Board minutes be sent to the Town Board starting in 2018. This will help with his reports at the Town Board Meetings. There was discussion regarding the open positions for the Planning Board, one regular and two alternate positions. Dan Walker reported that Lexie Hain has decided to withdraw her application because of her family and business obligations. Rich Teeter and Rob Tesori applied for regular membership on the board and Joe Dawson applied for an alternate position. Dan Walker stated the Planning Board recommends new members for the Board to the Town Board. The Town Board appoints the new members. A member asked if there were any concerns with members who own a lot of land being on the board. The answer was no. Exception was if those board members were up for a decision regarding their land, from the Planning Board, then they would recuse themselves from that meeting/decision. Dan Walker made a motion to recommend to the Town Board that Rich Teeter fill the position as a regular Planning Board member to start January 1, 2018 to December 2022, a five year term. Joe Dawson and Rob Tesori recommended filling the alternate Planning Board member positions to start January 1, 2018 to December 2018. Motion seconded by Ann Chaffee. Motion passed unanimously. Dan Walker will inform Beth McGee regarding the above recommendations. Dan Walker will contact Rob Tesori to make sure he is still interested in the Board position. It was noted that the Local Law #3 2015 stated, “Up to two Alternate Members of the Planning Board may be appointed by the Town Board, each for concurrent terms of 3 years. The first terms of any such appointed Alternate Members shall be January 1, 2016, irrespective of the date they are appointed or qualify for office; such that the terms of such Alternate Members shall each and both expire upon December 31, 2018.” The new alternate members will have to be reappointed or replaced the end of 2018 to start a new 3 year term. Henry Hansteen made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sue Thompson, Recording Secretary Note: NY Planning Federation Dues for 2018 submitted for payment January 2018 - $260.00 – Federal ID#14-1462965.
