July Meeting
The regular meeting was called to order by President
Annabelle Senmon -,t 7:14. The salute to the flag was
followed by a ora-ver from our chpplin, Fern Perris. Ro 11

old Business,: Due to some confussion, giving out nr17es
to children, it was decided that kuxiliqry member should
pass out orizes to the winners. Short Pnd ran out of
the following at, chicken barbucue.- (rolls, cup cakes,
paper plates and napkins), also short of help!

refreshment funds to purchase stamps. Dark horse was won
by Annabelle, hostess for our Sept. meeting will be Linda

Dele. 'Report: (convent -ion) Yr. Bovlett, Legislative
Lobbyist spoke on new fire safety code for N.Y. State, the
state must comnly with its own code and all must be in
compliance with new code by 1984- (Bill #S-3601) a
scholarship fund to be established for the dependant
children of firemen killed in line of duty, is now before
.Tov. Carey. For those interested in writtibg to Mr. Carey
urg-7_ng him to sign, write: Gov. Hugh Carey, State Office
Building Ilbqny, New York
One -hundred., twenty ladies registered at convention, of
these, 5 members, 4 delegates and. 5 nuests were from
Tompkins County. Annabelle had literq+ure from convention
for those interested.

roast at the S+i1wells on Sat. Aug. 8th., Aug. 7th is
parade in Ovid.
Short discussion on possible new uniforms for Ladies who
mprch for next year- rules Rre: Colors must match dark
blue tons, navy PRnts, dark shoes, maybe orange jqckei-.s,
• for a changed look. Need new hats, have to co-ordiante 10,
colors with men.

Because of resorted cases, that younger children being
frighten by q firemen In full near, some time this fall
volunteer firemen will go to schools to show children

having booth, to reserve a space.

followed by prayer from our Chaplin, Fern Ferris. Roll
was called with 10 members nresent. The minutes were
read and approved, treasurer's report was given with a
balance of $351.24.

Communications: Received thankyou note from Naney banning,
letter from Anne K. S-mith of the Gordan Bernard Co.,
informing that our order had b--en received. Two inquiry
cards enclosed to give to interested groups, sponsoring
calendar. We will receive 10% commission.

New Business: December 19tb. date for Chrl-stmas Party at
?irehall. A --ter discussion on Diane Bailey's idea, of
Auxiliary offering baby -sitting -service to com,.-unity.
Members voted to follow threw on it. Two saturdays only,
dates to be Dec. 5th and 12th from gam to 4pm. will
advertize with Journal and Gra-evine, Radio Stations,
Lena will follow threw. Lena will also type letter master
and xerox copies, Informing fa7nllies of service. Give
enough copies to school to hand -jut and small batch at
Partners iarket. Terry ]:annei-m volenteered to make posters
to advertize.
Letter, advertize.,,nents and posters will Include the
following Information:
Dates, ti,ne, place, cost (31.00/hour up to 3 children,
25� more per hour for additional children per family)
All ages welcomed, children bring bagged lunches, Auxiliary
will provide refreshments of juice and crackers. Lena
and Terry M. phone numbers included for information
calls. Linda Hubbell will give in -formation to Denny so
notice can be inclosed with election letter to firemen.

tray of doz. cookies, cupcalkes or doughnuts. Auxiliary
will provide nunch and coffee. •:eibefs are to bring
one gift/child for their family, fabled with ch.'1d's name.
'Jill have a Santa Claus for kids, Dece2,ler Trieeting is
set to decide on tine to decorate hall. Lena will purchase

and take inventory for the Christmas Parties.

The regular meeting called to order at 7:10 The
salute to the flag was followed by prayer from our
cheplin, Fern Ferris. Roll wqs called, with 12 members
present. The minutes were read and approved. The
treasurer's report was given with a balance of $427.45
Dele. Report: Fern reported on Annual Installation Banquet
December 3rd., at 7:00 Groton Hotel, 'rotors. Lena E.
and Annabelle S. also attended. For booster information
ask Fern. We need 100 from County to be listed, the
0 deadline is June.

Old Business: Final discussion on baby-sitting service.
The 5th. wRsntt successful, no children were dropped off.
Will advertize again this week on Radio Stations for
saturday the 12th. Volunteers for the 12th will also
decorate hall for the Family Christmas Party on Sunday
the 13tb- Decorations will be taken down after party.
Saturday morning the 19tb at V:OOeM is time set to re-
decorate for Christmas Party.
Because of the disappearance of our Christmas
decorations, .Aux. will purchase the following;
2 strings of lights
4 boxes balls
1 box of hooks
1 tree stand
T. Mtanheim volunteered to purchase candy canes ofr
Family Party, Terry will be our Santa Clause for the
children. Diane Bailey will purchase 6 cans. of punch
and 3 bottles of ginger --ale. Annabellewill provide her
punch bowl. 141embers were reminded to tiring one tray
of a dozen cookies, or cupcakes.
New Business; Diane B. will be in charge of cupboard
keys. Rosie Brainard reported that "Road House Review"
bend will play for our Christmas Parry. Dark horse
was won by Lena Everhart, Rosie B. will be January
hostess. Meeting adjourned it 8:13
