The Enfield Dramatic club coached by Fred D. Rumsey will present a play at Bodie Hall, Wednesday March 29, for the benefit of the Methodist Episcopal church of Mecklenburg.

August 26, 1916 W.T. Graham of Brookton was at the home of H.A. Hulse last week and put lightning rods on four of his large barn buildings on the farm where he lives.
September 7, Enfield Valley the schools in this vicinity will not open until two weeks later than usual. Hiram Rockwell and his men have completed a new concrete bridge with a 35 foot
span; one-fourth of a mile south of BostwickCorners the road is now open to the public.
October 16, Arthur McDaniel’swas found dead late yesterday afternoon, near the bottom of the Enfield Falls ravine by Mrs. Jay Carpenter who with Mr. Carpenter was searching for beechnuts
below the falls. They went to the nearest telephone and telephoned Sheriff Mackey. It was after dark when Coroner Smith came and with the aid of a lantern Mr. McDaniel’s waslocated.
Hewas a resident of Newfield and had last been seen around September 27 at the farm where he was employed.
Ithaca Daily News, November 4, 1916, reported tabulated Election results for President Woodrow Wilson and other positions but Enfield was listed as “000” for their votes.
November 29, 1916 a new roof has been put on the Methodist Episcopal Church. The new macadam road from the Inlet Road to the railroad near Wallenbeck’s Corners and from Enfield Center
one-half mile south isopen leaving about onemile of road to be macadamized.
December 1, 1916 The home of George Havens of Enfield was destroyed by fire last Thursday night. He was overcome by smoke and was unconscious when carried out by his son who thus saved
his life.
December 12, 1916 Leon Tucker son of Albert and Ida Tucker, and Bernice Conover, daughter of Elihu and Anna Conover of Ulysses were married in Jacksonville by Rev. Jesse Mullette. They
will start their married life out on the Tucker farm in Enfield.
