daughter, Miss Lonnelle Lovejoy
Raymond, to Lieut. David H, Ham-
mers, eon of Mr, and Mrs. William
Hammers of Washington, D. C.
Miss Raymond was graduated
from Ithaca High School In 1938
and attended Ohio Wesleyan Unl-
versity where she belonged to Chi
Omega sorority. In 1939 she was
transferred to Cornell and gradu-
ated In 1942. This summer she
has been attending Rochester Bual-'
ness Institute where she is on -
rolled In the college secretarial
training course,
Lieutenant Hammes was gradu-
ated from the School of Adminia-
trath•e Engineering at Cornell In
May and received his commission
as second lieutenant at commence-
ment, He has been In training In
the Ordnance Department of the
Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Aber-
deen, Md„ and is to be sent Into
foreign servico this September,
While at Cornell, Lieutenant Ham-
mers was a member of Delta
Sigma Phi, Scabbard and Blade,
Officers Club of ROTC, and the
American Society of Mechanical
