Miss Mary Bennett, daughter of
H. R. Bennett of Stone Quarry Rd.,
Ithaca RD 4, was wed to Jack Gar -
side of 329 W. Buffalo St., at 9:30
p. in. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the home
of the bride. The Rev. G. Eugene
Durham, university pastor of the
First Methodist Church, performed
the ceremony and sang -"I Love
You Truly."
The house was decorated for the
eeceslon with palms and garden
flowers. The wedding march was
played by the bridegroom's sister,
Miss Gladys Garside.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was attired in a white
net gown over white satin and a'
fingertip veil. Her bouquet was of
white roses and white sweet peas.
Miss Loulse Ivan of Stone Quarry
Rd., Ithaca RD 4, was maid of
honor. She wore powder blue silk
crepe de chine over blue satin and
carried pink gladioli and garden
flowers. John Mazza of 424 Esty
St, was best man.
, An informal reception at which
light refreshments, punch and the
bride's cake containing tokens, were
served took place at the home of
the bride after the ceremony. Mrs.
Lolllse,Ivan acted as hostess. . -
The couple left after the nup-
tials on a' week's honeymoon to the
New York, World's Fair. They will
reside In an apartment at 104 Utica
St. upon their return.
The bride was graduated in June
from Ithaca High School. Mr. Gar-!

Arthur Dean Daharsb, eon of G. B.
Daharsh of the Bostwick road,
were manied at noon today In then
Lutheran Church. The ceremony'
was performed by the Rev. Edward
T. Horn, pastor of the church.
The bride wore a street length
dress of soldier blue crepe with
matching hat and wine accessories)
and a corsage of white roses and
white pompons.
Miss Isabella Bohach of the
Mecklenburg road, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. She wore'
a dress of rose crepe with a navy
hat and accessories. Her corsage
Was of Oink roses and pink pom-
poms.
Clarence Daharsh of the Bost-
wick road was best man for his
brother.
Following the ceremony a dinner
for the immediate families was
served at the home of the bride,
after which the couple left on a
wedding trip through New York
state and Canada. On their re-
turn they will rgslde on the Bost-
wick road.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Daharsh are
graduates of Ithaca High School.
She Is assistant librarian at the
Tompkins County Traveling Library
and he is engaged in the dairy
business with his father.
Pre -nuptial events in honor of
the bride included a variety show-
er by Miss Mary Freese of the
Mecklenburg road and a red and
White kitchen shower by Miss Doris

Alencon lace, and a shoulder -

Mies Mildred' Rolfe of Enfield,
sister of the bride, was maid of
honor. She was attired in peach
taffeta and carried a bouquet of
Yellow roses and delphinium- Albert
Tilton of Mecklenburg, brother of
the bridegroom, was best man.
A reception for 75 guests took
place after the ceremony at the
home of the bride's parents. Mr,
and bars. Tilton left on a wedding
trip to the New York World's Fair,
New York and Washington, D. C1
They will reside at 427 W- State
St., in this city where Mr- Tilton
is associated with Finney Motor;.
The bride is employed by the Biggs
Company in Trumansburg.
Mr, Tilton and his bride were
both graduated from Ithaca High
School, Mrs, Tilton in 1932 and her
husband in 1935.
A miscellaneous shower was
given in honor of the bride by
Mrs. W. B. Van Fleet of Trumann
burg. Mrs, Ted Tilton of Mecklen-
burg and Miss Jane Bool of Ithaca
