The first known owner of this property, 487 Enfield Center Road, was Orsemus
Wortman 1853. This was part of a 100 acre owned farm. The farm was bought in 1918
by John Warren Laughlin, head of Kahn Meats in New York City, for his parents William
and Ida Laughlin. This barn, picture taken in the 1920’s, was located at the back of the
property (485 Enfield Center Road) and burned down, no date known. We invite
