On March 31, 1934 Hall and Stella Bailey entered into a lease with the Bureau for fifty
years for the small area of land where the Enfield Falls Community Building is
located on Gray Road across from the Budd Cemetery. The Bureau would pay $1.00
annual as rent. A community hall was to be completed within six months of the 1934
date. The lease also stated that if there was fire and the hall burned a new one was to
be building within the year. If the hall was abandoned for a period longer than one
year, or violation of the contract in anyway, the lease would be terminated. At the time
of the lease Lloyd Rumsey was President and Mary Hoyt was Secretary of the Enfield
Falls Home Bureau and Community Association.
