In person at the Town Court House. If you are unable to attend, but would like to attend in a hybrid- computer method, Stephanie will send a zoom link. Water Testing: Tom and Peter did water testing on Nov. 12 and sent it to the CSI lab. Stephanie reports that all the billing and payment is currently up to date. We need to continue to check the database to follow up on results and make sure we can see if any levels have changed. The next quarter begins after Wednesday’s Town Board meeting, so we can do the next testing anytime after that. Charlie found out that Dairy One is not a certified water testing lab, so we would not want to use it for our data collection. But it is much less expensive than certified testing, so we will let people know that this is another option when certified results are not needed. If someone is selling their house, they would likely need a certified test result. DWSP2: The State has looked at our plan, but they have not sent the information to any of us yet. We will need to follow up on this when we get the information. Hopefully there are just some small tweaks needed. Pamphlet and Website: Julie and Becky will follow up to see if we can put any pamphlets in Enfield School or Trumansburg School. Stephanie will bring them to the Deck the Halls event. We will continue to think of other places to put them, and have a digital copy put on our committee page on the Enfield Website. We should also add info about water testing at Dairy One on the Website. Stephanie will talk to Mary Cornell about adding this to the website. We can think of other things to add to our website as well. We should also consider sending the pamphlet out with our survey. Town Board and Planning Board: The Town Board and Planning Board are still in the process of updating and finalizing the site plan and sub-division regulations. No one has replied to the questions in the Town Newsletter related to updating the Comprehensive Plan. We are considering adding these questions to our survey so we can get some responses. A Planning Board seat will be open soon. If you know anyone interested in being on the Planning Board they should contact Dan. The Town Board is still talking about creating a Conservation Advisory Committee. Contact Stephanie for more information. The Town received a $600,000 grant for working on the Bostwick Road culverts and a grant for adding Solar Panels to the roof of the Town Hall. Great Job Stephanie! CAFO meetings: There have been no meetings since the last one in October. There will likely be another meeting in January. Updates: Stephanie updated us about the Cayuga Lake Environmental Action Now project related to Cargill storing brine under Cayuga Lake. They are working to request that the DEC expand the comment deadline past December 20 for this project and its environmental impacts. Mapping and Survey project: Becky has begun compiling information about the properties in the priority areas we plan to survey. We will likely survey 300-500 parcels. She will continue to expand and refine the information about properties in the priority areas. We worked for the next hour on possible questions for the survey. Becky will get the questions formatted and expanded. She will then send the draft out to our full group. We will take the survey as a pretest for the questions, to see what other changes need to be made in the questions. Next meeting: Monday January 13, 6:30 pm. In person at the Town Court House. If you are unable to attend, but would like to attend in a hybrid- computer method, Stephanie will send a zoom link.
