HomeMy WebLinkAboutJanuary 27, 2025 - Enfield Water Protection Committee MinutesEnfield Water Protection Committee Minutes 1/27/25 Attending: Nancy Spero, Becky Sims, Tom Joyce, Dan Walker, Harry Stewart Next meeting: Monday March 24, 6:30 pm. In person at the Town Court House. If you are unable to attend, but would like to attend in a hybrid- computer method, Stephanie will send a zoom link. Water Testing: Tom and Peter did water testing on Nov. 12 and sent it to the CSI lab. Tom will coordinate the next testing for this quarter (to be completed before the March 12 Town Board meeting). We can look at the CSI website to see the results and compare the samples. We could do this as a group at a committee meeting. DWSP2: Jacob from NYSRWA got in touch with us to let us know that the only thing NYS said they need is information about who the point person is for the group in regards to this plan. Stephanie will be the point person for the plan. Hopefully we will soon receive official confirmation the NYS has accepted our plan. Pamphlet and Website: Julie and Becky will follow up to see if we can put any pamphlets in Enfield School or Trumansburg School. We will continue to think of other places to put them, and have a digital copy put on our committee page on the Enfield Website. We would like to send one out with our municipal water survey questions if possible. Town Clerk Mary Cornell is in the process of updating the website. We can think of other things to add to our website as well. Town Board and Planning Board: The Town Board and Planning Board are still in the process of u pdating and finalizing the site plan and sub-division regulations. No one has replied to the questions in the Town Newsletter related to updating the Comprehensive Plan. We are considering adding these questions to our survey so we can get some responses. The Town Board is still talking about creating a Conservation Advisory Committee. Contact Stephanie for more information. CAFO meetings: Tom rorts that there have been no meetings since the last one in October. There will likely be another meeting in the future. No date has yet been determined. Mapping and Survey project: We worked on editing the possible questions for the survey. Becky will get the questions edited formatted and expanded. She will then send the draft out to our full group. Becky will check in with Stephanie to see if the Town Board would like an update of our work to date at a board meeting, and if they have a deadline or plans in mind for getting out the survey.
