ENFIELD — "He finally
brought one home from his home
track", commented GGlenn
Marion who's son, Brian, is a
member of the Enfield Dirt

August 31st was the third race
at Enfield. It had rained for
several days before the race and
the air was fall like and the track
in beautiful condition.
Those arriving early savored
the smell of bacon and eggs
cooked outside. This race was
held in can with an
Augusr 30th race at Burdett with
this the windup. (The Burdett and
Dundee tracks have now closdd
for good.)
The track has a new electrical
operated rubber band start and a
new starting gate. With John
Juber overseeing, the starts were
run very smoothly. Very few
complaints were heard as most
riders enjoyed the goal track
condition. The 125 Novice and 125
Amateurs were Pun in two heats
