HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976 ama letter— American Motorcycle Association A P.O. Box 141, Westerville, Ohio 43081 March 4, 1976 Enfield Dirt Diggers Incorporated R 5, Applegate Road Ithaca, New York 14850 Dear Sirs: Telephone (614) 891-2425 Telex: 245392 I want to sincerely thank all of the clubs who submitted their club scrapbook for consideration in the Top Ten AMA Club contest for 1975. Many of the books showed a great deal of effort, with much thought toward presentation. Others had a substantial amount of club activity data, but the format was perhaps a bit deficient. All of the books showed a dedicated effort by the club to promote the sport, and to improve the image of the motorcyclist to the public. I would like to present to you the format upon which you were judged, and your actual score in each category. I trust that this will help you in preparing your scrapbook for 1976, and will result in your continued interest, and success, in becoming a top ten club in the AMA, representing the "greatest sport on wheels". In judging, your club averaged the following scores from the four judges: CATEGORY SCORING RANGE PERCENT Public Appearance 1 - 10 4.0 General Club Activity 1 - 10 6.2 Amount and Quality of Press Coverage 1 - 10 5.5 Charity and Civic Projects 1 - 20 6.0 Art Work of Scrapbook 1 - 10 3.7 Your club placed 12th in overall judging. I would like to thank you again for your continued support and good job your club is doing for the sport of motor- cycling. Sincerely, Al Eames Director of Competition Development AE/jc
