HomeMy WebLinkAboutJune 5, 2024 - Town of Enfield Planning Board Meeting minutesTown of Enfield Planning Board Meetfng June 5, 2024 7:00 PM In-Person at the Enfield Town Courthouse and via the Zoom Meetfng Platiorm Present: Planning Board Chair Dan Walker; Planning Board Members, Ann Chaffee, Rich Teeter; Planning Board Alternate Greg Hutnik; Code Officer Alan Teeter; Town Clerk Mary Cornell. Virtual Attendance: Planning Board Member Mike Carpenter. Excused: Planning Board Member Henry Hansteen. Call to Order: Planning Board Chair Walker called the meetfng to order at 7:05 PM Review of Minutes: R. Teeter motfoned and A. Chaffee seconded to approve the May 1, 2024 Minutes. All, Aye. Carried. Ann Chaffee spoke of the email that she had received from Crystal Buck on the Agricultural Conservatfon Easements: The Inside Scoop from Landowners, which will be held on June 11, 2024. A brief discussion followed. Clerk Cornell – Councilperson Lemke has suggested that the Town purchase the New York Planning Federatfon subscriptfon for $295 a year. Is the Board interested in having this membership? The consensus was, yes, and to please pass this on to the Town Board. Comprehensive Plan Review Process: Chair D. Walker asked if the planning board members had looked at the comprehensive plan. A. Chaffee shared that she had read it previously and had also looked over a good portfon of it recently. G. Hutnik – In preparatfon for the last town board meetfng he had read the full comprehensive plan and spoke of some of the concerns that were mentfoned at the meetfng and gave the planning board a general overview of his public comment. His comments were more for the Town Board. He suggested creatfng a Comprehensive Plan committee to focus on where the goals should/could be. Chairman Walker – We have been completfng some of the goals and some of them do not have end points. A. Chaffee we are moving forward with the goals. Chairman Walker we should have a summary document that lists ongoing tasks as they progress and are completed. G. Hutnik expressed interest in creatfng the spreadsheet to track the goals, etc. Discussion contfnued. Dan will put together a talking point memo that he will present to the Town Board next week for the Planning Boards review before the meetfng. Discussion of Site Plan Review Law to address land use concerns in the Town of Enfield Postponed untfl next month Adjournment: R. Teeter motfoned and A. Chaffee seconded.
