Attendance: Supervisor Redmond moved; Town Councilperson; Robert Lynch, Cassandra Hinkle, and Melissa Millspaugh; Town Clerk Mary Cornell; Town Court Clerk Angela Champion. Virtual Attendance: Town Councilperson Jude Lemke. Call to Order: Supervisor Redmond called the meetfng to order at 6:30 PM Privilege of the Floor: N/A Additfons and Changes to the agenda: Consent agenda is removed. Correspondence: N/A Audit of Town Justfce Books: Court Clerk Angela Champion. Supervisor Redmond initfated the audit. Audit of Town Clerk Books: Mary Cornell. Councilperson Lynch initfated the audit. Audit of Tax Collector Books: Mary Cornell. Councilperson Hinkle initfated the audit. Audit of Town Supervisors Books: Stephanie Redmond. Councilperson Millspaugh initfated the audit. Supervisor Redmond and Councilperson Lynch both commend Blixy for her work. Discussion: Audit findings. Councilperson Lynch has volunteered to do an inventory of the Town Courthouse if others are interested. Councilperson Lemke suggested that we revisit the Town Courts book in the next few months and Councilperson Lynch suggested that perhaps we should go back in ~6 months to check to see if they have made progress on the areas that needed additfonal follow-up. Resolutfon #2024-30 Acceptance of Audits. WHEREAS, the Enfield Town Board held a Special Meeting on January 17, 2024, and WHEREAS, the Town Justice Heather Knutsen-King, Town Clerk Mary Cornell, Town Bookkeeper Blixy Taetzsch, and Town Supervisor Stephanie Redmond came before the Town Board for an annual audit of their records, WHEREAS, all three were inspected and commented on at this meeting, now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the 2023 books of the Enfield Town Justice, the Enfield Chief Fiscal Officer and the Enfield Town Clerk be accepted as true and correct and their annual reports are attached and made a part of these minutes. Councilperson Lynch moved and Councilperson Millspaugh seconded. Vote: Councilperson Hinkle, Aye; Councilperson Lemke, Aye; Councilperson Lynch, Aye; Councilperson Millspaugh, Aye; Supervisor Redmond, Aye; Carried. 2 3 Announcements: The PRMR Service. Local Government Efficiency Program will provide 90% of the funding for this program and Tompkins County will provide funding for the remaining 10%. In the future the state legislature may provide some funding for these types of programs. The County Legislature may ask municipalitfes to sign an agreement with the understanding for cost sharing startfng as soon as 2025.
