Roll crackers fine and edd salt,
sugar and bakin3 powder,
Beat eggs and to them add milk and
melted shortening. 7ombine with cracker
mixture and fold in chopped nuts.
Bake in 3750 oven for 3)-35 min.
Makes a wood --sized loaf.

Butterscotch Rolls
4 c. sugar 11 c. scalded milk

Dissolve sugar and salt and me the
fat in the hot milk. Cool mixture uintil
lukewarm and crumble yeast into it. Sift
and meesure flour. Add about 2 cups to
milk mixture and beat until smooth. Add
egg and beat thoroughly. Add remaining
flour and turn out on floured .— stry

Fut in greased boorl, cover and let rise
until double in bulk. Breese a caks pan
lightly, sprinkle bottom of pan with brown

Ifeasure into mixing bowl:
2 c, sifted cake flour 1 Op. salt
2 c. solar 2/3 c. cocoa
3/4 C. aricco 3/4 c. milk
Beat by hand or mixer for two minutes.
Stir ire.
11 tsp. baking soda 3 eggs
1 is . Uking powder 1 tsp. vanilla
c. milk
Beat two more minutes. Four into two
9" layer pens 1)" deep. Bake in moderate
oven 3500 for about 30 minutes.

bine 1 tap. vanilla and soured milk mix-
ture. Add alternately with dry ingredi-
ents. Blend:

Add to batter and mix well, 3ake
in 8 or 9 inch .round layer tins 30 to 35
minutes in a 3500 F. oven.
