out her life.

Hospicare who made
such a difference to Katie
in her last few months
and weeks.

Saturday. September 24,
2005, at the Cayuga Medi-
cal Center at Ithaca fol-
lowing an extended ill-
ness.
Alan was born ' at home
on January 30, 1938, a
son of the late Raymond
and Hilda (Jones) Hubbell.
He graduated from Ithaca
High School in 1955 and
served in the Army Na-
tional Guard in 1961.`He
had worked for the Enfield
Highway Department in
highway maintenance and
at Cornell University for
several years in grounds
keeping. Alan was truly a
good man, and his family
will miss his wit and the
"one and only' comments
that he could come up
With.
Alan is survived by his
brothers, Richard E., Rog-
er W., Charles S., Jon H.,
and Michael D., all of the
Enfield area; his sisters,
Carol H. Sallno of Enfield,
Katherine H. Walker of
TYumansburg. Virginia H.
Hall of Enfield. Marcia H.
Knight of Ithaca, and Nan-
cy J. Breen of Newfield;
numerous, nieces and
nephews and their fami-

in death by his father in

following a brief illness, on
Tuesday. March 15. 2005,
at the Cayuga Medical
Center, while surrounded
by family.
Born on November 25.
1930 in Enfield, Jerry was
the son of Robert and Nel-
lie Updike Hubbell.
Jerry's active personality
kept him busy cutting
wood for his wood stove.
He also.found satisfaction
in farming and gardening.
This passion for "digging
in the dirt" made his job
as a self-employed proper-
ty maintenance man truly
a labor of love. Jerry was
proud to keep the lawns
and shrubs of the
Collegetown apartment
complexes he was respon-
sible for, impeccably
manicured.
Jerry was a life member
of the Enfield Volunteer
Fire Company. whert he
accepted responsibiliW of
grounds maintenance for
many years. Jerry also had
a special place in his h eart
for animals, especially his
cows, his dogs and hi� be-
loved cats.
In addition to his pa-
rents, Jerry was preceded
in death by one brother.
Eugene and one sister.
Leah. He is survived by
one son. Dennis (Linda)
Hubbell of Enfield: one
daughter, Denise Hubbell
of Enfield: four grandchil-
dren. Steven and
Stephanie Hubbell of

whom he was very close:

Jerry's positive attitude
and warm, supportive na-
ture will be dearly missed
by his family and friends.
Services will be held at
the Enfield United Meth-
odist Church on Saturday,
March 19, 2005. at 3 p.m.
with the Rev. Nelson
Reppert officiating. Inter-
ment, in Grove Cemetery,
Trumansburg, will be
delayed.

Blanch SanSoucie Stout,
age 68. of 86 Black Oak
Rd., Trumansburg, went
to be with her Lord and'
Savior, Jesus Christ, on
Friday. March 16, 2007.
Born on June 24, 1938,
in Enfield, Blanch was a
daughter of Nelson and
Grace Tucker SanSoucie
(Hill).
After graduating in
1955 from Ithaca High
School, Blanch became
one of the first key punch
operators at Cornell Uni-
versity. She then worked
as a cook in the
Trumansburg School Sys-
tem; she then returned to
working with computers
as a data processor in Ro-
chester, and later at
Cayuga Medical Center
where she was employed
until her retirement
In earlier years, Blanch
was an avid flower and
vegetable gardener. She
enjoyed camping and any
venture that involved the
out of doors, including
working with the Boy
Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Her fondest memories
were those of family
gatherings.
She gave sacrificially of
her life to her children,
grandchildren and great-
grandchildren, who were
her joy. The tasty memo-
ries of Blanch's cooking
and baking, especially the
beautiful birthdkay cake;t;
will long linger in t*
hearts of her loved ones.
Blanch was preceded in
death by her parents.
Nelson SanSoucie and
Grace SanSoucie Hill; her
husband, James J. Stout;
and her brother, Louis
San Soucie.
She is survived by her
daughter, Jo A. (Brian)
Marion of Enfield; son,
Robert N. (Valerie)
Lovelace of Arlington. OH;
seven grandchildren.

of Enfield on Sunday,
March 18, from 4-6 p.m.
and on Monday, March
19, from 10-11 a.m.
A Memorial Service, at
the church, will be on
Monday, March 19, at
11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
E. Jack Osburn
