The intent of the Preliminary Assessment Review Period is to give property owners an
opportunity to present information to the Department of Assessment to reconsider the 2012
Preliminary Assessment. If a property owner does not present any information_regarding the
market value of their property, no consideration will be given to the appeal
If you file an appeal, you will receive notification of the results on or around May 1, 2012. If you still disagree with the 2012
Tentative Assessment, directions will be on the Official Change Notice instructing you on how to file a Grievance
Application with the Board of Assessment Review.
The last day to file a formal Grievance Application (RP-524)with the Board of Assessment Review will be May 22, 2012.
