SUGGESTIONS FOR MAKI�NG� REPORTS TO TRUSTEE
The " report to trustee " is combined'' in one report for the months ofJuly
and August and one combined report for the months of May and June. One
ry
report is to be, made for each month, September through April.
Each deP6 sit made during' the re 'ort 'e i listed p p r od should be lis e, on the, back of the
collector's report. This is important, for unless cooperation exists between the
collector -treasurer and''the trustee, bills can not be,pai'd promptly and overdrafts
on the bank account avoided.
When deposits are made, the simplest procedure is for the collector-, t reasu rer
to make out, two identical: deposit slips and present both slips to the bank cashier
along, with the money to be deposited. The bank cashier will stainp one copy
receipted and ,,retur'n'it � to "the person making the deposit:`, These re'ceipted slips'
should,be��d�lsent,poitivesesproof of,deposit.
Notemaybemadeon these duplicate deposit slips' to show the items listed
for deposit. These slips will assist the collector-tr'easurer in balanc'ingthe, cash
book and reporting the list of deposits to the trustee. The next best method is to
depend upon the entries in the deposit passbook.
The collector -treasurer may. wish to retain the deposit when all his
passbook
records are filed at the end of the school year, This may be done if receipted deposit
slips are 'filedaspart of -the records; . .. ... .. ...
