You are hereby commanded to receive from each of the taxable'inhabitants
and corporations named in the foregoing list, and of,the owners of the`real estate
described therein, the several sums`mentioned in:the,last colihnn of the said,list,
opposite to the persons and corporations so named, and to the several tracts of
land so described, or so much thereof as may be voluntarily paid to you for the
next thirty"days after the delivery to you of this warrant, together with one`cent ,
on each dollar thereof for;your fees; and after the expiration of the time above
mentioned, to proceed forthwith to collect the residue of the sums not so paid in ;
as aforesaid, with five cents on each dollar thereof for your fees;And, in case any
person upon whom Such tax is inlPosed shall neglect or refuse to pay the same;
you are to levy the ame by distress and sale of the goods and chattels of the per- -
son or corporation so taxed, in the same manner as on warrants issued by the

board of supervisors for the collection of taxes in towns; and you are to make,a
return of this'warrant within sixty days after the delivery thereof to you; and if
any tax on real estate or the tares upon nonresident stockholders in banking asso�---: E
ciations organized under the laws of Congress,'mentioned in the said list shall be i
time when you are required to return this warrant, you are to
unpaid at the
deliver to the trustees of the'said''district an account thereof, according to law. {
All moneys received or collected by you by virtue of this warrant you are to keep
safely, and to;pay the same on4he written order of a majority of the trustees, or
to the treasurer of the district if such an officer shall have been duly elected and
has qualified.
