PRESENT: Ann Chaffee, Steve Givin, Henry Hansteen, Calvin Rothermich, Dan Walker
ABSENT EXCUSED: Poney Carpenter, Dawn George, Vera-Howe-Strait/Councilperson Board Rep.
STAFF: Sue Thompson/Planning Board Recording Secretary, Alan Teeter/Code Enforcement
Dan Walker called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Steve Givin made a motion to accept the June 4, 2014 meeting minutes. Ann Chaffee seconded the
motion. Motion passed unanimously. Dan Walker made a motion to accept the July 2, 2014 meeting
minutes. Calvin Rothermich seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Alan Teeter reported that the Thompson Farm, Iradell Road applied for one lot split into 2 lots. Alan
Teeter stated that the Thompson Farm division had already been approved June 5, 2013.
Alan Teeter stated that he has contacted the owners of Fish Road building/trailers and will be meeting
with the owner to discuss code issues. Dan Walker asked Alan Teeter how many building permits
have been issued. Alan Teeter reported approximate ly 40, new houses approximately 6-8 and new
houses being built 3-4.
Travel and Training forms were handed out to be used for submitting reimbursements. An inventory
of who has taken the training needs to be made. Certificates of completion should be gi ven to the
Town Clerk. It was suggested to excuse Dawn George from training because she is on “excused
leave of absence”. Sue will call the Town Federation and ask if this is legal to be excused from the
training.
There was general discussion on Wind Farm proceedings. A tax assessed public hearing was held at
the community building. The town needs to view and work on the environmental impact statement for
the windmill farm.
It was reported the Comprehensive Plan Committee is working on the Land Use section.
Steve Givin made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ann Chaffee seconded the motion. Meeting
adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
