HomeMy WebLinkAbout2013 10 02 2013 meeting planning board.pdfTown of Enfield Planning Board Meeting Minutes - October 2, 2013 Enfield Community Building 1 PRESENT: Ann Chaffee, Steve Givin, Calvin Rothermich, Marie Vandemark, Dan Walker EXCUSED: Virginia Bryant, Dawn George STAFF: Vera Howe-Strait, Enfield Town Board Representative Alan Teeter, Building Code Enforcement Officer Sue Thompson/Planning Board Recording Secretary Marie Vandemark called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Calvin Rothermich made a motion to accept the minutes of the September 4, 2013, meeting. Steve Givin seconded the motion. Minutes passed unanimously. There was discussion on the Comprehensive Plan. There are sections that need more information. The Committee made a motion to have Judy Hyman start the editing process of the Comprehensive Plan. The motion passed unanimously. Dawn George will be asked about the update of the agriculture statistics. The maps still needed are in the supplemental section. Dan Walker will put together the maps and turn them into jpegs so that can be added to the Plan or in to a separate section because of the size of the document. Alan Teeter asked about updating the fee schedule for the subdivision application. Since Virginia Bryant was not at the meeting there was no report on other town fee schedules. There was discussion regarding other town fee schedules. It was noted that there are other fee schedules on the web. Steve Givin passed out a chart on the lighting for communication towers. He spoke about Obstruction Towers over 150 feet. Some of the lights are on only at night. The lights are orange and white. Steven will send a copy of the lighting chart to Virginia Bryant. Steve Givin will follow up on the exact cost of the lighting and report back to the Planning Board. Marie Vandemark reported that Rich Neno, Mecklenburg Road, had information regarding accidents with “unmarked tower collisions”. Marie Vandemark will contact Rich Neno and Virginia Bryant regarding this report. Nancy Spero, North VanDorn Road, reported that FFA regulations stated that if a light was put on the tower the communication group would have to reapply to the FFA. Dan Walker made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ann Chaffee seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sue Thompson, Recording Secretary
