Meeting called to order at 7:05 p.m.
Dawn George made a motion to accept the minutes of the October 3 meeting. Ann Chaffee seconded
the motion. Minutes passed unanimously.
Virginia Bryant announced that she asked Judy Hyman to help organize the Work Groups for the
Comprehensive Plan. She stated that Judy Hyman agreed to help.
Judy Hyman reported she sent out emails regarding new Work Groups and items to update in the
Comprehensive Plan to Board Members and new Work Group members. A separate list of questions
to be answered to update the facts for the Comprehensive Plan was also sent out. This list is
attached to the minutes.
Virginia Bryant reported an email was sent from Scott Doyle of the Tompkins County Planning
Department suggesting references for answering the questions Judy Hyman sent out.
Sue Thompson reported she answered most of the questions but felt the other data could be
retrieved easier from the Tompkins County data bases available. She offered to share the answers
with the group.
Virginia Bryant reported a letter was received from Edward Marx, Commissioner of Planning
Tompkins County regarding suggestions for changes for the Comprehensive Plan. She sent a copy
via e-mail to the committee.
Virginia Bryant suggested that the Comprehensive Plan Work Groups meet separately tonight and
report back to the Board tonight with the results of the meetings. Each Work Group was asked to
choose a chairperson and note taker. Each Work Group will be placed on the Town of Enfield web
site listing members, agenda, notes, minutes, and meetings dates.
Discussion on the Comprehensive Plan
Dan Walker will work on the program for obtaining data needed to update the Comprehensive Plan
including the maps. He reported that there was a description of contents of each map that was in the
Plan that was left out. This description will now be updated and added into the new Plan.
Judy Hyman, Virginia Bryant, and Beth McGee will analyze the Comprehensive Plan Survey results
and report back to the Planning Board. Beth McGee reported that there have b een approximately
133 surveys returned.

Statistics we need updated from the Enfield Comprehensive Plan of 2001
The following should be based on 2010 (and a section will be added in the “Population” section of the
