mire destroys Enfield mobile home

ENFIELD — A mobile home valued at between
10,000 and $25,000 was destroyed byafirewhichbroke
at shortly before midnight Wednesday. fire officials

There were no injuries, officials said. Tompkins
ounty fire investigators were on the scene today
ttempting to determine the cause of the blaze at Loi
I of the Sandy Creek Trailer Park, 2068 Mecklenburg

Fi re off icia Is sa id the tra iler was being occupied by
Robert Irving. Its owner was listed by officials as
Raymond Van De Mark, RD5 Halseyville Road,
Ithaca.
Thirty Enfield firefighters responded to the 11:49
p.m. call with two pumpers and twc: tankers, officials
said. They used 3,200 gallons of water to extinguish the
fire. Trumansburg and Newfield firefighters stood by
in the Enfield station, officials said.
Officials said the fire appeared to start in the
bedroom area, igniting interior wall panels. —
