We drove all around the back roads in Newfield & Enfield. My how a few years makes a difference. I did get to talk with David Everhart & Roger Drew for a while too. I enjoyed our chat most of all. It had been a long long time and so many things had happened along the way. Until this reunion and our visit I never realized all that I had missed by going in the service, then overseas and not returning for seven years. Is the Boy Scout Troup still there? Those were some of my fondest memories. I enjoyed being with Chip & Kenny Carlisle, we really had a good time working with the boys. I can't begin to tell you how sad I was when I heard about his accident. I guess I was young and still naive enough to think the Good Guys didn't get hurt. Peggy & Nicki walked the gorge between Upper an Lower Enfield thought that was something. I walked half way down with them & then went back for the car to meet them at Lower Enfield. After that we went back to the big falls and came back up the other side in the rain. Peggy couldn't get past all of the wild flowers growing that we in Texas pay big bucks for. In a couple of years after we get Nicki in college we'll come back to visit. We lived on the road the McFall's live on. Is Ron McFall, the Deputy Highway Supertendent, 60 +? I guess I've asked all the things I can think of for now. Here's some scoop for the editor. Benjamin F. Comstock, My mothers Dad, died July 22, 1955 and is buried in the Leigh Valley Cemetery along Highway 13 halfway between Buttermilk Falls & Lower Enfield State park. Spencer A. Wilkins died July 26, 1993 and is buried Kings Prairie Cemetery, Monett Missouri. Always, Spence PS I hope I spellec your name correctly
