Jan 30 - Poured first section of floor in fire house
not ready mix delivered and poured 4" thick
Now this was
It was 6"
deep and deeper in many places --what ever it took to come
out levet--no loose fill underneath --and all mixed, leveled
and finished by hand.
Feb 2 - Purchased lights at Udessa.
Feb 7 - Lights connected.
Feb 19 - Last section of floor poured.
Tnis building was heated by wood and coal to keep it from
freezing at night.
Feb e4 - Put on overhead doors.
April 3 & 4 - Purchased Fire truck and equipment in Elmira.
April is & 9 - Ham Raffle - lasted until 10 A.M. the 9th.
May 13 - Firemen put on supper.
June li - Stag Party - Large crowd. This must have been the predecessor
to our carnival.

Harry was always there helping --even as age slowed him down, he helped.
