Dear Mr. Barriere,
This will acknowledge your letter to me requesting funds from the county to
help finance your forthcoming 50th Anniversary Celebration. Karl Heck also
transmitted to me the letter from Mr. Saulsgiver which provides more details
about your plans for the coming year.
The committee which I chair is responsible for making recommendations to
the Board of Representatives for financial support for community
celebrations. This is a new program for the county, and we are just now
formulating our guidelines for making grants. Your request was discussed by
the committee at last week's meeting, but no action was taken. I'm sorry for
the delay in answering both your letter and Mr. Saulsgiver's, but I expect that
we will be able to give you a response one way or the other by our next
meeting in early April.
Please be assured that your request will be given careful consideration by our
committee.
