To report an Emergency: 9-1-1
Dear Town of Enfield Neighbor,
It is time once again for the
Enfield Volunteer Fire Company
annual fund drive. At the start of
our 2002 fund drive we told you that
we were beginning to raise funds to
replace our old 1990 "light rescue"
vehicle (642). In 2002, our fund
drive raised approximately $6,500
for this purpose. When combined
with the proceeds from the sale of
another surplus vehicle ($15,000)
we have almost met our goal of
raising enough money to replace
642. It is our goal in 2003 to raise
enough funds to complete our goal
of having a new 642 in service by the
end of 2003. Your generous
donations, both past and future
make this all possible. We sincerely
thank you for your assistance.

In 2002, 52 EVFC personnel
contributed over 13,902 hours of
service, consisting of response,
training, apparatus, equipment and
station maintenance, as well as other
work details. Enfield Volunteer Fire
Company personnel worked the
equivalent of over 6.6 "full-time
equivalent" employees. The EVFC

2002.
Our 2003 open house is tentatively
scheduled to be held concurrently
with the Enfield Community Council's
Harvest Festival on October 1 l th,
2003. We hope that by holding these
two events together, that more
community members will have the
opportunity to participate. Please
look for details later Ellis year.
Is your house number visible from the
public roadway? Can emergency
responders find you? Can we see
your number from both directions? It
is critical that we be able to find you
quickly in the event of an emergency.
Please help us, help you by assuring
that your house number is clearly
visible.
