All vehicles should be parked on the same side of the road as the
• incident is. Example; If fire is on the north side of the road
park on the north side. This assures one lane traffic for Tankers
and other apparatus to be able to move freely.

9.) - Tompkins County radio frequencys are F1-46.12 F2-46.22.
The dispatchers call sign is KEE574 or Emergency Control.
- Radios are kept on F1 at all times,unless an officer or the
dispatcher request you to switch to F2.
- When enroute to a fire or rescue call, truck driver must radio
when they are enroute, on the scene, returning to station, and when
they are in service and in the station. The only exception being
on rescue calls when enroute, on the scene and returning in service
is all that is necessary.
- Anytime a truck leaves the station it must be called out to
dispatcher and told reason why Training, road check, work detail,
etc. and upon return called back in service.
- During a fire or rescue call do not tie up the radio any more than
you have to, it is very important to keep the air open for
• communication from officers and the dispatcher.

10.) - 641 responds first on all structure fires or fires with in a
structure. 641 is used for a quick attack.
- 601 is the second truck in, if 641 has not extinguished,the fire
lines are to be pulled from 601 to attack the fire.
- When 641 uses its water supply up the driver is responsible for
transferring his lines to 601.
- 621 is the third truck in, 621 should lay a supply line to 601
and pump his water supply . This assures a continuous water
supply to hand lines which 601 is supplying with in the structure.
- At this time portable pond should be set up if necessary. This
decision will be made by officer in charge.
- 622 is fourth truck in. 622 should be ready to either pump his
water supply to 601 or dump into portable pond.
- 602 should go to the nearest water source and prepare to fill
tankers unless directed to the scene by the officer in charge.
