NYS Justices of the Peace elected prior to July 1, 1977 served as members of the Town
Board. In 1957 only 2 Justices of the Peace were elected, two additional
Councilpersons were elected to serve on the Town Board.

2 Fern Smith was appointed September 1975 as Councilperson to fill the position of Earl Smith, her husband
who died in July. Term to December 1975.
3 March 1981Fern Ferris resigns as Councilperson. April 1981 Charles Hubbell appointed to fill the position.
4 Roger Laue was appointed March 1983 as Councilperson to fill the position of Harold Clark who died in
February.. Term to December 1983.
5 Carl Newhart resigns as Councilperson July 1994. Robert Linton appointed to fill the position until
December 1984.
6 Garry Achilles resigns as Councilperson July 1997. N. Patricia Dougherty appointed to fill the position until
December 1997.
7 Tom Drew resigns as Councilperson March 1999. Joe Schehr appointed July 1999 to fill the position until
December 1999.
