November 17, 2020
Zoom Meeting
Present: Ellie Hobbie,Ann Rider, Barb Sadovnic, Debbie Teeter, Sue Thompson
Minutes from the September meeting were e-mailed to members of committee. Note that there was no October meeting held.
Sue Thompson will request from the Town Supervisor to have the Celebrations funds from the town account A7550, a total of $1,000, to be extended to the 2021 budget.
Ellie Hobbie has had two submissions for a logo for the celebration. She will send them out to the committee.
The Committee agreed to let Ann Rider decide on the colors of the quilt. Ann Rider stated she would talk to Guy Krogh, lawyer, about spending historians money for quilt supplies. The
quilt will probably have to be quilted by machine.
Ann Rider and Debbie Teeter will be looking for the list of officials to invite to the celebration.
Sue Thompson will send a copy of the Community Council chapter to Ellie to update.
Sue Thompson suggested a Time Capsule project. She spoke to the County Clerk’s Office and has permission to place the Time Capsule in the storage unit at the “old” Seneca Army Depot
for the County. Sue Thompson will also work on a genealogical project where people can submit information regarding their families and how they are connected to the first settlers of
the town.
A decision on how to share the information from the 1821 residents still needs to be decided.
There was discussion on costumes of the 1820 time period and how to make them for committee members to wear during the celebration events.
Next meeting: December 15, 2020 via Zoom.
