Zoom Meeting
Present: Eric Carter,Ellie Hobbie, Alice Linton,Ann Rider, Barb Sadovnic, Debbie Teeter, Sue Thompson
Minutes from the June meeting were e-mailed to members of committee.
There was discussion regarding research on residents of the Town in the 1800’s. Ann Rider shared that Bob Wixom said that the Trumansburg Free Press Newspaper was on line for use in
research.
Ann Rider reported she will be using the Ohio Star Pattern for the bicentennial quilt. She will contact others to help with the quilt for sewing and fabric.
Chapter corrections for Town History Book: Community Council history that Sue Thompson shared with the committee needs comments from members. Ellie Hobbie will be updating the Buildings
chapter.
Eric Carter reported looking to work on a tour of historic places with his youth group.
Barb Sadovnic placed her list of residents born in 1821 in Enfield on the Community Council web site. She asked for suggestions of other items to place on the web site.
There was discussion regarding a historic play involving the Shakespearean actors from Ithaca. Some of the group lives in Enfield and was interested in this project.
Ellie Hobbie reported that there has been no submissions for the T-Shirt Logo Contest. It was suggested a news article be placed on the town web site and other social media.
