EMERGENCY SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2007
7:00 P.M.
An Emergency Special Town Board meeting was held on Wednesday, September 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
at the Town of Enfield Town Hall, 168 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, New York. The purpose of the
meeting was to fill the Town Councilperson vacancy created by the resignation of former Town
Councilperson Jennifer Fisher in a letter to the Town Board dated August 8, 2007. Councilperson
Small presided over the meeting.
Present: Councilperson Peggy Hubbell, Councilperson Robert Harvey, Councilperson Sandra Small
and Town Clerk Alice Laue.
Absent: Supervisor Jean Owens.
Others Present: Douglas and Peg Willis, Diane Aramini, David Dimmick, Byron Smith, Jerry Achille s,
Calvin and Doris Rothermich.
Councilperson Vacancy:
Former Councilperson Jennifer Fisher resigned as Town Councilperson effective August 22, 2007.
Motion made by Councilperson Small, seconded by Councilperson Hubbell that the Town Board
appoint Byron L. Smith to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Councilperson Fisher.
Appointment to be until December 31, 2007.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Harvey aye, Councilpersons Small aye, Supervisor
Owens was absent. Motion carried.
Oath of Office – Byron L. Smith: Byron L. Smith was given the Oath of Office by Town Clerk Laue.
Adjournment:
Motion made by Councilperson Small, seconded by Councilperson Hubbell that the Emergency
Special Town Board meeting adjourn.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Harvey aye, Councilperson Small aye, Supervisor
Owens was absent. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
