EMERGENCY SPECIAL TOWN BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
SUNDAY, MARCH 11, 2007
2:00 P.M.
An Emergency Special Town Board meeting was held Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Town Hall,
168 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, New York at 2:00 p.m. with Supervisor Owens presiding. The
meeting was called to discuss Enfield Volunteer Fire Company’s latest proposal submitted by their
attorney, Mark Butler in a letter dated March 9, 2007 to Attorney for the Town Timothy Mattison.
Present: Supervisor Jean Owens, Councilperson Jennifer Fisher, Councilperson Peggy Hubbell,
Councilperson Sandra Small, Councilperson Robert Harvey, Town Clerk Alice Laue was not in
attendance.
Motion made by Councilperson Hubbell, seconded by Councilperson Small that the Town Board
move into Executive Session to discuss Enfield Volunteer Fire Company contract issues.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Fisher aye, Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Small aye,
Councilperson Harvey aye, Supervisor Owens aye. Motion carried.
Motion made by Councilperson Hubbell, seconded by Councilperson Small that the Town Board
move out of Executive Session.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Fisher aye, Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Small aye,
Councilperson Harvey aye, Supervisor Owens aye. Motion carried.
The Board agreed to send an email to Tim Mattison in response to Mr. Butler’s March 9, 2007
letter, asking Mr. Mattison to respond to Mr. Butler and that time was of the essence. Supervisor
Owens sent the email while Board members waited.
Moved out of Executive Session at 3:20 p.m.
