BUDGET WORKSHOP &
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2007
7:00 P.M.
The Special Town Board Meeting was held Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Enfield
Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, New York at 7:00 p.m. The
purpose of this meeting was to continue budget discussions from the October 10, 2007
regular Town Board meeting of the 2008 tentative budget.
Present: Supervisor Jean Owens, Councilperson Peggy Hubbell, Councilperson Sandra
Small, Councilperson Robert Harvey, Councilperson Byron Smith and Town Clerk Alice
Laue.
After the budget workshop a Special Town Board meeting was called by Supervisor
Owens.
Motion made by Councilperson Smith, seconded by Councilperson Hubbell that the 2008
Tentative Budget be accepted and adopted as the 2008 Preliminary Budget and that a
Public Hearing be held on the adoption of the 2008 Preliminary Budget on Wednesday,
November 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and that the Public Hearing notice state that the
Preliminary Budget would be posted on the Town’s website.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Small aye, Councilperson Harvey aye,
Councilperson Smith aye, Supervisor Owens aye. Motion carried.
Adjournment:
Motion made by Councilperson Hubbell, seconded by Councilperson Harvey that the
October 22, 2007 Special Town Board Meeting adjourn.
Discussion:
Vote: Councilperson Hubbell aye, Councilperson Small aye, Councilperson Harvey aye,
Councilperson Smith aye, Supervisor Owens aye. Motion carried.
