TOWN OF ENFIELD
PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2004
7:00 P.M.
A Public Hearing on the 2005 Preliminary Budget was held Wednesday,November 4 ,
2004 at the Enfield Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, N.Y. at 7:00
p.m. with Supervisor Fisher presiding.
Present: Supervisor Gary Fisher, Town Councilperson Greg Stevenson, Town
Councilperson Larry Lanning, Town Councilperson Peggy Hubbell, Town Councilperson
Sandra Small. Town Clerk Alice Laue was also present.
Supervisor Fisher opened the Public Hearing by leading the assemblage in the Pledge of
Allegiance to the Flag.
The legal notice published in the Ithaca Journal was read and anyone wishing to speak
could do so.
After all wishing to speak had spoken the Public Hearing was closed.
The Public Hearing was closed at 7:30 p.m.
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
MINUTES

7:30 P.M.
A Special Town Board Meeting was held directly following the Public Hearing.
Present: Those present at the Public Hearing were present at the Special Town Board
Meeting.
Supervisor Fisher reported that the Town Historian, Sue Thompson submitted a grant
application to Tompkins County for funds from their tourist room tax which is used for
promoting tourism. The grant is for a cast marker, similar to the N.Y. State Historical
markers, cast to recognize Judah and Lydia Chase Baker one of the first residents in the
Town of Enfield. Proposal is to get a marker and have some type of dedication where
descendants of the Baker family would be invited. If the Town Board supports this
application a letter of support has to be written for the grant.
Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson
Lanning that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield formally endorse the Community
